Position

As a Master Data Specialist, you will act as a Business Data Steward within the Supply Chain Master Data Management (SCM MDM) team. In this role, you are responsible for the timely and accurate creation, maintenance, and deactivation of master data in SAP (S4/MDG), in line with business scenarios, data rules, and governance policies.

You will support operational supply chain processes by ensuring high-quality, consistent, and compliant master data across the EMEA region. You manage assigned tasks from Implementation Reports, execute mass updates related to packaging materials, and actively contribute to data quality by flagging issues, running rule-based checks, and supporting incident resolution.

You’ll participate in business and IT projects where master data is involved — from supporting testing to implementing changes — and help document or improve internal procedures. You also play a role in knowledge sharing within the team and contribute to continuous improvement of data processes.

This is a hands-on role requiring a structured and proactive approach, strong communication, and a keen understanding of the relationship between master data and supply chain execution.

Profile

• bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• understanding of master data management models, tools, and methodologies
• insight into supply chain processes and their relationship with SCM master data
• hands-on experience with operational master data processes in SAP (S4 and MDG required)
• familiarity with data quality, data rules, and incident management
• basic knowledge of GMP and relevant quality standards (e.g. JSOX, GxP, PMM)
• able to work independently and manage tasks in a structured, deadline-driven manner
• strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal; Dutch and Japanese are a plus
• experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
