Position

As Business Development Manager, you will take global responsibility for the sales of the product groups produced at the Veenendaal site of Carbogen Amcis B.V. (part of the Dishman Carbogen Amcis Group). The product portfolio includes Vitamin D2, Vitamin D analogs, and Cholesterol products, sold worldwide for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutritional applications. Carbogen Amcis B.V. serves a diverse base of approximately 300–350 customers. You will report directly to the Sr. Manager Business Development.

You will be expected to develop and execute sales strategies, manage and grow international customer relationships (including R&D, procurement, and sector-specific contacts), and handle contract negotiations covering pricing, volumes, conditions, and credit limits.

Additionally, you will approve and oversee order processing, manage contract compliance, and ensure timely and accurate deliveries. You will explore new market opportunities, create business cases, and contribute to strategic decision-making through detailed market and competitor analysis. The role includes regular international travel and offers strong potential to influence the future sales structure of the Veenendaal site.

Profile

• bachelor’s or master’s degree in a commercial or technical field, with affinity for chemistry/pharma and business development;
• 5 years of experience in a similar international commercial role (not suitable for entry-level candidates);
• proven track record in global sales, contract negotiations, key account management, and new business development;
• strong competencies in networking, relationship building, communication, and strategic thinking;
• entrepreneurial, flexible, team-oriented personality with a proactive and technically curious mindset;
• fluent in English (spoken and written) and Dutch; other languages are a plus.

Organisation

Carbogen Amcis B.V., part of the global Dishman Carbogen Amcis Group, produces high-value Vitamin D analogs and Cholesterol at its site in Veenendaal, the Netherlands. These products are used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, animal feed, and industrial applications. Approximately 85 employees work at the Veenendaal site. The commercial team handles global sales for both product groups. A new structure is being implemented in which you will be trained across the full product portfolio and assigned regional responsibility. The broader organisation includes sites in Switzerland, China, the United Kingdom, and India.
