Position
As a Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting scientific research and ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory within the life sciences field. Your responsibilities will include conducting ELISA tests and a variety of laboratory techniques, such as sample preparation, microscopy, and biochemical, cellular, and molecular biology assays. You will be responsible for the accurate and precise analysis of biological samples using advanced laboratory instruments, as well as documentation and analysis of experimental data. This includes preparing detailed reports that summarize findings, outcomes, and conclusions. Additionally, you will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring that all instruments are calibrated, clean, and functioning properly. You will troubleshoot technical issues as they arise and perform routine maintenance tasks to support the continuity and quality of laboratory operations. Collaboration with fellow technicians, researchers, and other team members will be essential to achieving the laboratory’s scientific goals.
Profile
- Completed MLO/HLO in Life Sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in an industrial laboratory environment
- Experience with ELISA
- Skilled in creating and analyzing statistical calculations
- Skilled in writing reports and presenting data
- Good communicative skills in English, both oral and written
- Proactive, flexible and creative
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands (EU citizenship or valid work permit required)
