Position
Reporting into the Product Support Lead, the Process Improvement Specialist will define and drive product and process improvements for drug substance manufacturing. This will be done by executing the continuous process validation plan for the defined products, and defining product related improvements, or process chemistry related improvements based on the data. The positions will also provide high-level investigational support to the IPT and collaborate with above site functions (LMS&T, LMTO, External Manufacturing, external clients) on investigation or improvement projects.
This concerns a temporary assignment filled on an interim or secondment basis.
Profile
- master’s degree required (life science, biotechnology, engineering or another technical field preferred)
- PhD or PDeng/EngD degree may be beneficial
- a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in biologics or vaccine manufacturing and/or managing biotechnological development projects, gaining experience with project management
- hands on experience with change management and Lean Six Sigma tools and a high standard for compliance and GMP
- broad interest in Biotech (USP/cell culture, DSP/purification, analytical, regulatory, etc.) is preferred
- eagerness to learn is a must
- role is intended to be on-site for at least 3 days per week; flexibility can be discussed
- excellent English communication skills (verbally and written); Dutch is highly preferred
