As Business Development Associate you will become part of a team that is responsible for the correct and high-quality realization of the commercial objectives. You will be responsible for acquiring new business with new and existing customers. Also, you will maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential new commercial relationships, networks and partners. This has to be done in such a way that the commercial and qualitative objectives of the organisation are met. Furthermore, you are responsible for contract management for new and existing projects. You will be in close cooperation with the Business Development Team which consists of three Business Development Directors, a Business Development Representative and a MarCom Specialist.

In this position, you will be expected to go abroad and engage in a dialogue with the target group (40% -60% traveling). The ideal candidate enjoys entering and developing relationships abroad. Keeping in touch with the Pivot Park Screening Centre and involving the Project Managers in your plans and results are crucial. Together with the Business Development Team objectives are formulated and a budget plan is drawn up.

  • master’s degree or higher preferably in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology or Life Sciences
  • a minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales position within Life Sciences
  • knowledge of, affinity with, and understanding of the pharmaceutical R&D field
  • knowledge of assay development, biochemical and cell-based assays
  • demonstratable acquisition results, excellent negotiation skills, data-driven and market-oriented
  • strong conceptual capacity to translate organisational developments into commercial results
