Our client is a specialized Bioanalytical service for a range of clients across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. They have an ever-expanding range of services within their specialized laboratories, including Immunoassays, Biomarkers and LC-MS Bioanalysis.
Their Adelaide facilities operate to FDA and GLP standards, as well being NATA and ISO accredited. In this position you will operate within the business development section of the company, also you will work with the Director of Immunoassay on a range of tasks. This position is in Australia. For international candidates, sponsorship is on offer for the right candidate, as well as assistance with the relocation process and costs.
As a Business Development Associate – Immunoassay you will utilize your Immunoassay knowledge and research skills to investigate potential bioanalytical opportunities that could benefit existing and prospective clients. Besides this you will manage existing and upcoming opportunities prior to handover to operations department, including liaising between stakeholders to ensure seamless transfer of project’s technical details. You will also manage requests from clients by liaising and developing proposals to address their needs. Communicating the progress of work orders and change orders to the Director of Business Development will also be one of your tasks. Next to this you will keep up to date with SOPs across the company; contribute to continuous improvement of SOPs and document templates; and escalate issues discovered as required.
Taking this leap would open the door for you to join a different aspect of the scientific industry. It’s an opportunity to get a broader view of the industry and see how the individual parts work together to provide quality service to clients. You would also be reporting to managers in both the immunoassay section and the business development section. They will provide quality training of the business development aspect of the role, giving you the skills that will drive your success well into the future.
- 3-5 years or more experience in a regulated bioanalytical position (preferably with method development experience)
- excellent stakeholder (internal + external) management experience (previous business development experience preferred, but not required)
- strong research skills (including literature reviews)
- proposal/grant preparation experience a preference, but not essential
- a minimum of Bachelor with Honours in an appropriate field
